Florida · Homes and small commercial spaces

Built for the room,
not for the box.

Stock cabinets come in fixed widths, so an awkward wall gets a filler panel and a wasted six inches. Something made for the space uses all of it, which is usually the whole reason to commission it.

How we work

A Florida shop, honest about timber

Miha Dayall Woodwork LLC is a limited liability company registered in the State of Florida, document number L24000123166, filed in 2024, with registration details on public record with the Florida Division of Corporations.

We are not licensed general contractors. Structural alterations, electrical and plumbing work go to licensed trades, and any permit a project needs remains the client's responsibility — we will tell you when one is required. Timber is also a natural material: grain and colour vary between boards, samples are indicative rather than exact, and wood moves with humidity, so slight seasonal movement in doors and panels is normal rather than a fault.

Frequently asked

The questions we get most

Why is custom more expensive than stock?

Often it is, and sometimes it is not once fillers, wasted space and replacement cycles are counted. We will tell you honestly when stock would serve you better for the money.

Will the colour match my existing furniture exactly?

Close, rarely exact. Timber varies board to board and finishes age differently. We will show you samples in your own light and be clear about what is achievable.

Can you match the moulding in my old house?

Usually, from a short sample length. Older profiles have not been made commercially for decades, so copying the existing one is the only way to blend a repair or extension.

There is a gap under my new cabinet door in winter.

That is wood moving with humidity, and it is normal rather than a defect. Designs allow for it, and it usually closes again as the season changes.

Do you do the plumbing for a kitchen?

No. We refer plumbing and electrical to licensed contractors and coordinate the timings so the trades are not tripping over each other.

Is it worth repairing this old piece?

Sometimes very much so, and sometimes not. We will tell you which, even when the answer means no work for us.
